DESK SETUP
Set up your
workstation.
Connect your laptop to the monitor, choose the right display settings and join the office Wi-Fi.

Select MacBook or Windows to see the correct display and power settings.

DISPLAY SETTINGS
Set up the external monitor
Open the Apple menu, choose System Settings, then Displays.
Select the external monitor. Under Use as, choose Extended display. Choose Mirror if you want the same image on both screens.
Choose Arrange and drag the screens into the same positions as they are on the desk. Leave the resolution set to Default unless you need to change it.

CLOSING THE LID
Use the monitor with the lid closed
Check that your MacBook is charging and that the monitor, keyboard and mouse are connected.
Close the lid. The external monitor should remain on.
If it switches off, reopen the lid and approve the accessory in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Allow accessories to connect.
NoteThere is no separate lid setting on macOS. Closed-display mode works when the MacBook has power and an external monitor, keyboard and mouse are connected.

Join the office Wi-Fi.
Open the Wi-Fi menu on your laptop and connect using these details.
